A gutter wand is something that extends as much as twenty feet allowing you to reach the gutters on a two story house without leaving the ground. One end connects to a garden hose and the other end has a nozzle on it that sprays water out under pressure to push debris out of your gutters. The advantage of this tool is that you do not need a ladder or scaffolding. Climbing the ladder is the part of gutter cleaning that has the most risk and hundreds of people are injured every year in ladder accidents. However, there is one downside, in that these wands do not work well if you have serious clogging. You will need to get up on a ladder and clean out major clogs by hand. The wand is good for touch up or last step cleanings.
