Armies can be set up in groups of 1, 3 ,6, 10, 15, 21, or even 28. Your groups can become larger if you acquire the appropriate cards. The different group sizes allowed have to deal with the difficulty being played. Smaller groups are assigned to newer players, so there are less decisions to make and less gear to have to distribute through soldiers. Large groups are for more experienced players; the battles will last longer and the decisions will be harder. In an advanced version of the Chaotic CCG, magic cards are seen frequently and distribution of gear is challenging because there are so many people. The hardest part of an advanced game is determining which creature to attack.
One creature has to be moved every turn no matter what. Creatures can move anywhere on the playing feld, except to a space controlled by it’s master. When a creature is moved into a space that another players creature controls, a battle occurs. Creatures may only move to spaces touching the space that they are in.
The last thing that you need to know about in the Chaotic collectible card game is what a burst is. A burst happens when a magic card, a creature card, or when battlegears abilities are triggered. Once a burst starts, everybody adds to it with their abilities and effects. When players agree to stop the burst, all cards starting from the top one in the burst, are resolved.
