A long time ago, my wife’s grandmother gave us an area rug. It was good grab but what we ended up doing was putting it down in our basement. That was a mistake because our cat at the time paid a visit to the area rug and wouldn’t you know it, used the area rug as a litter box. We thought at the time the rug was a gone’r and decided to see about area rug cleaning in San Diego. We called for a few quotes on getting it cleaned up. It was a tall order I know because once a cat uses it for that purpose, I don’t think you can ever totally remove the scent. The other thing is that I’m pretty sure the cat can remember it used it.
Anyway, we finally opted not to get the rug cleaned for those reasons. I don’t even remember now what the quotes were but when I think about it, that was maybe 20 years ago so I am sure that they would be totally out of date by now. Area rugs are a great addition to a home’s decor and I’d think that you’d be crazy not to have some especially if you have hardwood floors.
